Â鶹´«Ã½ scored well in recent rankings

The Â鶹´«Ã½ has performed strongly in two UK university rankings across areas including employability and student experience, as well as for the delivery of individual courses.

In The Guardian University Guide 2024, Suffolk climbed one place to 68th out of 122 universities, based on factors such as teaching, assessment, spend per student and employability, using data gathered from the National Student Survey (NSS) and UCAS as well as individual institutions.

In the Daily Mail’s first University League Table, Suffolk was ranked in 53rd place.

In The Guardian, Students rated the University highly in relation to both student satisfaction metrics (teaching and feedback) – placing Suffolk in the top 3% nationally.

History and Graphic Design courses were the highest rated for the University, both ranking in 7th place.

In addition, Sociology and Social Policy courses ranked 12th in the country, while Psychology had the biggest gain, rising 33 places followed by Mental Health Nursing with 14 places.

Another key factor explored in the Guide was the potential for a graduate level career after 15 months – which saw the Â鶹´«Ã½ rank 27th overall. For graduate employment at course level, Social Work and History were ranked 3rd and 8th respectively.

Commenting on the Guardian University Guide 2024, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohammad Dastbaz said: "The Â鶹´«Ã½ is continuing to deliver not only a positive learning experience for students but also building a strong foundation for their life after university.

"Our students benefit from our focus on skills development and employability, and this is reflected in the number of Suffolk students working in graduate level jobs 15 months after graduation or returning to higher education."

This year, for the first time, the Daily Mail has produced a University League Table looking at factors including teaching excellence, student experience, research quality and graduate salaries.

The Â鶹´«Ã½ ranked 53rd out of 128 universities with highlights including a 4th place position for first generation students, 14th for student/ staff ratio and 24th for high skilled jobs.

Earlier this year, Suffolk climbed 20 places in the Complete University Guide rankings.

The Â鶹´«Ã½ will be hosting an Open Day for prospective students on Saturday 7 October, for more information, please visit uos.ac.uk.
