Overview
This course has been developed to provide an arts-based progression route to Honours level for those who have completed a Foundation degree (or equivalent). BA (Hons) Creative Arts Practice was developed in response to demand for an arts alternative to the very successful BA (Hons) Professional Studies. It seeks to engender a creative mix of artists and art forms and encourages cross-fertilisation of ideas and projects.
Course Modules
This is a one-year course in which students study three modules. The first semester consists of a Dissertation (an extended investigation which will usually be associated with the Major Project) and Professional Futures, Ethics and Sustainability. This module encourages research and analysis into contemporary issues either affecting, or affected by, the art form. The second semester consists of the Major Project, a negotiated work which may be solo or involve a number of arts/artists.
Full downloadable information regarding all Â鶹´«Ã½ courses, including Key Facts, Course Aims, Course Structure and Assessment, is available in the Definitive Course Records.
